Mandagon: Out Now

A while ago I wrote about an upcoming game I was working on the sound for (starting off with the movement sound design). That game was Mandagon and it’s just been released!

Here’s the description, as per the game’s creators Blind Sky Studios:

“Explore Mandagon, a world inspired by Tibetan theology and philosophy. With a focus on life and death, discover what it means to make a true sacrifice.

Traverse a vivid interpretation of Bardo, the Tibetan word for limbo. Learn what experiences brought you there and what forces pull you through “

It’s been such a brilliant project to have worked on. Having worked on BSS’s previous game “Teyze” (which was built during the process of putting “Mandagon” together!), it was great to have written for a much brighter, more colourful world, whilst still retaining that underlying sense of the unresolved.

Having written about the process of writing the movement I’ll soon be writing about the background music and the other sound effects. For now, here’s the final trailer:

Mandagon, by Blind Sky Studios, is now available through Steam, free of charge.
